Yesterday we learned that talks between the Astros and Yankees about Jeff Keppinger didn't get very far. The 30-year-old utility player appeared to be a fine fit for a team in need of bench help, but New York could instead turn to rookie Eduardo Nunez to fill the role. That, however, seems like a Plan B more than anything right now.
If the Yankees want to sift through other options on the open market they'll find that there isn't much left to choose from. Former Yankee prospect Cristian Guzman is still available after posting a less-than-stellar .648 OPS with the Nationals and Rangers. Despite a solid body of work throughout his career, Julio Lugo disappointed in Baltimore last season, hitting .249/.298/.282 in 93 games. Both players offer average defense at shortstop (-0.2 and -0.4 career UZR/150, respectively) but Lugo has more experience playing second base. Those two are essentially the cream of the free agent utility infielder crop.
The Yankees have had trouble signing bench players in recent years in part because no free agent in their right mind would join the Yanks only to sit on the bench behind their impressive cast of regulars. They've had to trade for bench help as a result, grabbing the likes of Wilson Betemit, Jerry Hairston Jr., Eric Hinske, and Austin Kearns at the deadline in recent years. John Hickey of Sportspress Northwest writes that the Mariners need to make a deal if they hope to free up spending cash this winter, so perhaps a deal involving Jack Wilson and the $5MM left on his contract deal could make sense for both sides.
GM Brian Cashman has started each of the last two seasons with young gloveman Ramiro Pena on his bench, so the team could go with him again if they feel Nunez needs more minor league seasoning. The Yankees have money to spend after missing out on Cliff Lee, but quality reserve players are tough to find these days. Overpaying for bench players is a good way to waste money, so don't be surprised if New York starts the season with Pena before making yet another in-season trade. What do MLBTR's readers think the Yankees will do with their bench during before Spring Training?

3. Make reasonable use of text messaging
Text messaging is typically cheaper than making a phone call. Even if you call less than one minute you will be charged more than sending a text message. However, text messaging can be really expensive if your employees use it a lot. Most providers offer text messaging plans that provide 400, 1000 or unlimited text messages for a monthly fee. Yet, even unlimited plans do not cover for premium services such as downloading third party offers from another business and you get extra charges for such services. Also, if you have a text messaging plan for 1000 SMS per month you get extra charges for each additional message you send or receive. Therefore, even if text messaging is cheaper than calling, it depends on how you use it.
4. Improve the calling behavior of your employees
Determine the calling of your employees and try to improve the parts that really don’t work for your business. For instance, try to make them talk more during off-peak hours, if possible. If they have to call the client during peak hours, they will do that, but if there are phone calls that can be made during off-peak hours, direct them toward this alternative. Moreover, you can get a flat rate national coverage plan for calls outside your state. There are a lot of options available from providers. All you have to do is know what is going on in your business.
Cell phone bills can be really expensive if you don’t search for alternatives. By reviewing your cell phone bills regularly and cutting back on extras you can reduce your bills and avoid extra services that your business may not really need.

Are you the parent of a toddler or a preschooler? If you are, are you also looking for ways to either homeschool preschool them or prepare them for preschool at home? If so, you may turn to preschool worksheets. Preschool worksheets are often referred to as fun, exciting, and educational.
When it comes to educating your child at home with preschool worksheets, you will find that you have a number of different options. For instance, preschool worksheets can be found online and often for free. To find preschool worksheets online, you will want to perform a standard internet search. You can also make your own homemade preschool worksheets or you can purchase a collection of preschool worksheets in the form of preschool workbooks.
Whether you are interested in making your own preschool worksheets, finding printable preschool worksheets online, or buying a collection of preschool workbooks, you will want to look into buying a collection of photograph page protectors. These are clear sheets that you can slip photographs into for protection. It is possible to find these protector pages in sizes that will fit most preschool printables, as well as preschool workbook pages.
When using photograph protector pages or sheets, you will want to slip each of your child's preschool worksheets into one. You will then want to have your child fill out each preschool worksheet with a dry erase marker. This dry erase marker enables you to simply wipe away each worksheet when your child has finished it. This is best done with a simple paper towel. Dry erase markers and photograph protector pages make it possible for your child to use their preschool worksheets over and over again. This can save you money with preschool workbooks or save you money on computer ink.
If you are only interested in using computer generated preschool worksheets, such as homemade preschool worksheets or preschool worksheets that you are able to find online, you may want to look for preschool worksheets that are in black and white print. Although it may take a little bit of searching, it is more than possible to find black and white preschool worksheets online. Black and white worksheets, instead of colored preschool worksheets, can save you a considerable amount of money on your printer ink. As you likely already know, it is easy to use up color printer ink, in what seems like no time at all.
Although it is more than possible to find printable preschool worksheets in black and white print, you may find a nice collection of preschool worksheets in colored print that you want to use. If that is the case, you may want to examine your printer's current settings. You should consider printing off each preschool worksheet in black and white print. You can easily do this by adjusting your printer settings to print in gray scale. This will not only save you money on your computer ink, but it may also increase your preschool worksheet activities. You can do this by having your child color in any pictures on their worksheets themselves.
The above mentioned approaches are just a few of the many ways that you can go about saving money with preschool worksheets, no matter what style they are. Although relatively affordable to begin with, these steps can make preschool worksheets as affordable as possible.
